Keith Hori, director emeritus, has 39 years experience with TRIO programs.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  He served in his capacity as director of the University of California, Berkeley's program from 1978 to 2009.  Mr. Hori has worked his entire professional life in service to low-income and first generation students.  In addition to his work experience with TRIO, Mr. Hori has served as Board Member, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, Executive Secretary, and President of the TRIO regional association, Western Association of Educational Opportunity Personnel (WESTOP); and as Board Member and President of the national TRIO organization, National Council of Educational Opportunity Associations (NCEOA). Although no longer director of the Upward Bound and Math Science Programs, Mr. Hori continues to contribute to the mission of equal access to education for all in his private work.
