Munyiga Lumumba has worked with TRIO programs for 27 years.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.  Mr. Lumumba has also worked as a teacher for the Oakland Unified School District.  He has dedicated his life's worked to helping low-income and first generation students.  He has served as President of the regional TRIO association, Western Association of Educational Opportunity Personnel (WESTOP), and as a Board Member of the National TRIO association, the National Council of Educational Opportunity Associations (NCEOA).  Mr. Lumumba graduated from McClymonds High School, one of the Upward Bound program's target schools.
